The Norbu PHILOSOPHY:

At Norbu, we embrace and respect all cultures, religions, races and the LGBTQ community. Our goal is to always provide a sanctuary for beautiful memories.

RESERVATION POLICIES:

Upon acceptance and receipt of a quotation/contract, a deposit payment of 50% of the quoted rate becomes due and payable immediately. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the event. This fee secures the agreed date, time and services for your event at Villa Norbu. Payments can be made by check, charge card or electronic transfer.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

A client can cancel the event contract at any time by giving written notice to Red Coral Events, but in doing so shall forfeit their full paid booking fee.

FACILITIES & Damage:

Wedding planners and sponsors are 100% responsible for the protection of the property & its valuables during preparations and continuation of all event activities. The onsite contact representing the planner or sponsor of the function is responsible for the conduct of all attendees. No metal nails or staples are allowed in walls, wood frames or floors on the property. Damage or loss will be billed directly to the function planner. Villa Norbu is not liable for loss, theft or damage to property belonging to function participants. Swimming in the villa pools or in the ocean at Villa Norbu is strictly prohibited unless permission is granted directly by owners (Alain Brin or Soolan Nilsen). A $500 fine per violation will automatically be added to the client’s billing. All children in attendance of an event must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.

Food & Beverage:

All menu selections & guest count must be completed 30 days prior to your event to ensure availability in the variable island weather, growing season, and laissez faire environment. Vegetarian and special dietary requests must be reconfirmed in writing 10 days prior to all events. Unfortunately, confirmed orders cannot be reduced during the 30-day period prior to your event; however, Red Coral Events will make every effort to accommodate an increase in the number of attendees. All food & beverages must be purchased through Red Coral Events, with the exception of wedding cakes. No food may be removed from Villa Norbu upon completion of an event with the exception of wedding cake & beverages.

Vendors:

All vendors including musicians, florists & photographers can be booked directly by your selected planner or sponsor of your event and are solely their responsibility and liability. All planners & sponsors are required to have liability insurance covering their selection of licensed vendors (our exceptional in-house event planner and all our recommended St. Thomas wedding and event planners are licensed and insured in the USVI). All musical entertainment must be pre-approved by the management of Villa Norbu.

Travel & Wedding Insurance:

Insurance is not mandatory to reserve an event at Villa Norbu; however we highly recommend insuring your event if you are making an investment over $5000 during hurricane season (June 1-November 30th). An excellent source is the wedding insurance specialists: www.protectmywedding.com.
